Our social service gives advice to patients and their family members, operating in close consultation with the physicians in charge of treatment and the nursing team in the area of social, professional and medical rehabilitation. It provides support in ensuring follow-up care and helps in the preparation for patient discharge. Most of the advice centers on the organization of subsequent measures such as

• Post-stationary rehabilitation (AHB, rehabilitation, cures)
• Ambulatory attention or care 
• Stationary nursing care
• Care through psychosocial counseling
• Support in the clarification of financial issues (for example sick pay, severance pay, etc.)

Regarding pension law issues, we set up consultation appointments for our patients with the pension consultants of the state insurance companies, the German Federal Insurance Institution for Salaried Employees, the Federal Miners' Insurance or the Statutory Medical Insurance Companies.
