The clinic park

The clinic park was completely re-designed in 1997 by the renowned landscape architect Alexander Koch of Pähl, Germany.

Koch describes his work and intention as follows:

"A garden for the patients – paths of life"

Life’s paths with their diverse destinations originate at the spring, which is the heart of the garden.
While spatial comfort is suggested on the garden level, the actual garden forms can be seen particularly well from the patients’ rooms.
In the circular shape of the main seating area with the surrounding trees and hedge, visitors can enjoy sun and shade, outlooks and insights, wind or silence.
The splashing sounds emanating from the fountain accompany the beauty of the surroundings and the play of reflected light to inspire thoughts.

The promenade

The promenade of Lake Ammer (Ammersee) is located directly in front of the clinic, separated only by a street.
Located on the promenade are the landing stage for the steamers operated by Ammerseeschifffahrtslinie as well as numerous restaurants with beer gardens or terraces and some cafés.

The castle park hosting the small castle (Herrsching Kurparkschlössl) has been charmingly integrated in the lake promenade.

Day trips

Our clinic is approximately 40 km away from Munich. Families and visitors can enjoy day trips to the Bavarian capital. Munich can be reached either by car or with tram line S 5. The tram stop is only five walking minutes away.

About 70 km away from the clinic, Augsburg and the Olympic Games city Garmisch-Partenkirchen are great destinations for day trips.

Located in the five-lake region, the clinic is surrounded by scenic and historic attractions, including these interesting highlights for day trips:
